This is the home of Stead Halstead. It's used to host various web design projects, web development testing areas, videos, files and my email. You might be here because I sent you an email or because you heard I did various technical projects and you're interested in my work.
About MeI graduated in the Spring of 2008 from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. I officially majored in Accounting, but took quite a few classes in spanish and web design. Before attending Western, I took a bit of video production at Bellevue Community College. Through BCC, I have an Associate's degree in Business Administration.
I have completed the internship at the INN university ministries, a christian campus ministry in Bellingham that I was a part of as a student. During the internship, I did a little bit of everything, but mainly focused on small groups, websites, budgets, and, of course, students. The internship challenged me in ways that I could have never predicted. Since then, I have served as the Summer INN co-director, and now have moved onto the senior staff team at the INN, working as administrator (which still includes some tech support, website things, budgets and a few other things). The opportunity has been incredible.
I also serve on the PC(USA)'s Presbyterian Student Advocacy and Leadership Team and help maintain pcusaCOLLEGE.org. I attempt to document a bit of my life on my blog.
What I Do
With my variety of experiences at Western and through the INN, I have found myself to only grow more general and less specific in my skills. Most of my experience though involves technology. Because of my experiences in web development, web design, video production, audio production, and more, I have a great appreciation for bringing these things together to make projects work.
